Tea Chapter has served Chinese tea from the same Neil Road shophouse since 1989. We host tea lovers, tourists, corporate groups and schools. We are hiring for two roles on the floor team.

Tea Host & Workshop Instructor (Full-Time)

A full-time Tea Host who will train to become a Tea Instructor.

What you'll do

  • Welcome guests and guide them through our tea menu, brewing at the table
  • Learn tea knowledge and brewing technique from our senior tea masters
  • Assist, then lead, tea appreciation workshops for corporate and school groups
  • Light food prep, tea retail and stock checks
  • Share the daily hands-on work with the whole team: dishwashing, clearing and resetting tables, cleaning, receiving deliveries and moving stock

Hours

  • 6-day week, 44 hours, two shifts: 11:00am–5:30pm or 1:30pm–9:00pm
  • Friday and Saturday late shift runs to 10:30pm
  • Off days rotate and fall on weekdays (weekends are our busiest days)

What you'll get

  • $2,600 to $3,300 per month, depending on experience

Who we're looking for

  • Warm and courteous, enjoys talking with people
  • Conversational English and Mandarin (our tea culture and many guests are Chinese-speaking)
  • Interest in Chinese tea; F&B experience is a plus, training is provided
  • Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet through a shift
  • Able to work weekends and public holidays

Part-Time Tea Host (flexible shifts)

No minimum shifts: tell us your availability and we'll roster around it.

What you'll do

  • Welcome guests, take orders and brew tea at the table (we teach you)
  • Light food prep and tea retail
  • Share the daily hands-on work with the team: dishwashing, clearing and resetting tables, cleaning, receiving deliveries

Hours and pay

  • $11/hour on weekdays, $13/hour on weekends and public holidays
  • Shifts: 11:00am–5:30pm or 1:30pm–9:00pm; Friday and Saturday late shift runs to 10:30pm
  • Choose the shifts that fit you; weekend availability is a plus
